I was asked to present an introductory talk on Swift at November’s Port 80 meetup at spacecubed. It was interesting presenting the new language to a crowd who looked to mostly be involved in .NET, Java, Python and Ruby web development. There was a fairly animated Q & A session following the presentation, with most members showing genuine interest in the new technology.

Also at Spacecubed that evening - all-round nice guy Tim Oliver gave a talk about his award-winning blog. Afterwards, a number of attendees headed upstairs for Spacecubed’s Level 9 launch party, rounding out an action-packed but enjoyable evening.
